No, I reread it because I haven’t read it since 2015, and I skimmed it then—I don’t love osanwe-kenta because it feels kind of like the most boring standard fantasy telepathy setup possible, i.e., “intent/effort are required both to read minds and defend against mind-reading, the mind at rest is an open book and exists as like, a Legible Text separate from the body that contains it or w/e.” But this time I’m focusing on things I find interesting in spite of that.
