Elves began it, of course, waking trees up and teaching them to speak and learn their tree-talk. They always wished to talk to everything, the old Elves did. I am sure they were pretty gung ho about people traveling in space.

Loose sketch of an illustration I may or may not finish ever. If I ever do get to it, it would definitely play up the lovely purple+gold scheme, lots of dark vs. light etc. I’m not sure what my design for Irmo would actually end up being though – he’s a weird Vala to place. Even if he is the patron of dreams, his realm is described as very dark and as invoking eternal sleep (but also rejuvenation?). To me he feels very much like a classic faerie – dark and fantastical.
