andie, she/her, 26, united states. this blog is full of Tolkien. also other art, photos, fandoms, and big-eyes-emoji stuff, but mostly Tolkien. i tag! my girlfriend is bright ivanaskye, who is a lot, but not too much
not warm, per se, but definitely alive. my theory is he could focus it and sort of transfer it? maybe by touching foreheads, holding hands, transfering breath. im not sure exactly, but it would help keep them on their feet, or being able to move during the crossing; but it’s draining, and it drains him to help people like that, hence why i draw him all blue and grey-ish.
it took a lot out of him, but he’s made of incredibly strong stuff, especially when he has people to protect imo.
edit: i also hc he did it to maedhros when he was first brought back to the camp after his rescue by fingon; i really don’t think he blamed feanor’s sons (whatever their feelings for him) for the actions of their father, and he still loved them very much.
This is an A+++ headcanon, nonny! I realized when I read the ask that I do picture my modern AU twins as a few inches taller than their dad, but I’d never considered it for canon verse, and the mental image of Elrond Eyebrowing up at his MUCH taller sons when they’re in trouble is my new fave.
