Some thoughts under the cut
When Frodo and Bilbo became the first creatures to die in Valinor, I wonder how many elves freaked out seeing a corpse
The fun thing about Elves is that a whole lot of them would remember Míriel, Finwë and a whole bunch of Teleri. Those who spent the 1st Age in Middle-earth would also be familiar with the sight. And of course, they knew all along that Frodo and Bilbo were mortal.
So really, only the Valinor-bred youngsters would freak out. (Probably accompanied by a lecture from the older Elves. “Oh my sweet summer child, if you think this is bad, you wouldn’t have lasted an instant back when Melkor killed the Trees… I’m telling you… THOSE were dark days…”)
