there’s this one scene in the story of siegfried it really reminds me of, after mimer plays his harp for siegfried and tells him about his history… it’s a very poignant moment and i wonder if jirt was inspired by that

   I just love how you end every line of the poem on a down-turned
intonation, it makes it all sound vaguely ominous, which is appropriate
for this poem! tired, dark, cold.
