Sorry this is a bit late! I’ve seen all of DS9 except some of the 1st and 7th seasons (lol) but haven’t rewatched any episodes except a handful of favorites in like 4 years or so….let’s see…..

a random thought: DS9′s best qualities are inextricably linked to the status quo of TOS and TNG being for the most part sincere and not a facade – in the former DS9 is a fascinating, dynamic, ongoing struggle; in the later it is a momentary destructive bubble-bursting that leaves as much material for exploration behind as, uh, a popped bubble.

An unpopular opinion: I don’t entirely mind the FACT that Jadzia died. I mean I would prefer she didn’t, but the potential of character exploration regarding Dax taking on a new host – exploring what was Jadzia and what was Dax etc, is genuinely really fascinating. It just was executed badly.
