send me “have you evers” and I can only reply with “yes” or “no”
you do look kind of white no offense
….ok? i mean yeah i know, since i’m half-white, and i get asked ‘are you italian’ multiple times a year, and my number of casual-racism incidents from strangers is significantly lower than that of my sister, who looks considerably more indian than me. idk what u mean by ‘no offense’…?

␛ elrond?
I’m obviously just ripping this from The Tale of Arwen and Aragorn but he seems to be the kind of person whom anger makes, like, intensely lovable, even when his anger is (temporarily) directed at you—first he gets very Rational, which is punishing, in tolkienverse where rationality almost always points to pessimism, and then that awakens his (self-directed) humor, and then he’s like, bye remember to layer it’s cold out there. I think it just makes him very much himself. and even a little charmingly self-absorbed or inward in a way he rarely is otherwise, which appeals to people who love him. Elrond is one of those characters whose anger is almost an ‘objective’ response to the world, so it’s less frightening and more reassuring for onlookers who have also been briefly exposed to reality, e.g. Frodo… compared to like, Gandalf terrifying Pippin, where Gandalf is looking at Something Beyond, a “should be” rather than an “is”
Sometimes I’m overwhelmed with the insatiable desire to learn. To know astronomy and geography and language and architecture; to recognize each constellation, planet, and star; to speak and understand all languages, be able to decipher ancient Greek and Latin text; to grow my understanding of how the human body works; study the differences and similarities of each religion; recognize the use for each herb and seed and sapling.
I want to better myself, not for fame or recognition or power. I just want to understand.
