I wanted to render back muscles and finally settle on tattoo designs for Feener.
I’ve given him Finwë’s heraldry, and also a device I invented for Miriel (based on a flax flower). The black knotwork is an Auldendur thing – you see similar tattoos on Dwarves in Middle Earth – and is awarded to students of Aulë when they achieve mastery in a craft. Mahtan, Nerdanel, and Curufin have similar tattoos (that are perhaps a little less… extensive…….. Fëanor stop getting PhDs). Celebrimbor gets pretty impressive knotwork in a slightly different style from the dwarves of Khazad-dum in the second age.
I’m translating this so any foreigners who have been to the national museum can help as well. Please reblog regardless of where you’re from.
“After tonight’s tragedy, museology students from UNIRIO(University of Rio de Janeiro) are trying to help preserve the memory of the brazilian national museum. We ask that those who have videos or pictures(and even selfies), of the collection share them through the e-mail thg.museo@gmail.com”
Credit for the idea goes to the lovely @badappleyatsu!!! Really should have been an april fool’s comic but eh, second best date…This is a bit of a warm-up piece for a slightly longer serious comic I want to work on exploring angels and the difference in movement (and physics) between Heavenspace and Earthspace, in a way that takes a bit more liberties with the world than I did with GLORIA. I’d listed “Bee Movie Hive” on my inspiration moodboard because I liked the look and designs of them, and thought they fit with the hexagonal shape of the little angels. While making this though I’m a bit upset/amused that the basic opening of Bee Movie is not … dissimilar to what I had thumbnailed out as well, RIP
