LGBT BRAZILIANS TAKE CARE WITH DATING APPS AND GRINDR, THEY WILL BE USED TO TARGET VICTIMS PLEASE SIGNAL BOOST
ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!
In Whatsapp (the most used messaging app in Brazil), if you receive a contact from a “juridical support group for LGBT+ people who are being harassed” called “REAJA”, DO NOT INTERACT!!!!!!! Apparently, this is not a real support group but it’s a trap that are targeting LGBT+ people to physically harm them. They people behind “REAJA” have very malicious intentions.
Be careful and stay safe!!!!!!!
I received the contact of Reaja on sunday night. My friends and I thought it seemed pretty weird so we blocked it… We were right.
‘But the host of the Valar prepared for battle; and beneath their white banners marched the Vanyar, the people of Ingwë, and those also of the Noldor who never departed from Valinor, whose leader was Finarfin son of Finwë…But at last the might of Valinor came up out of the West, and the trumpets of Eönwë filled the sky; and Beleraind was ablaze with the glory of their arms, for the host of the Valar were arrayed in forms young and fair and terrible, and the mountains rang beneath their feet.’ – Of the Voyage of Eärendil, The Silmarillion.
It’s a reverse harem about a college student who totally doesn’t want to be a vampire, really, running into a couple of vampires who’re into her… and totally not dating them or anything. Because she doesn’t want to be a vampire. You see.
Also, there’s competing vampire factions that mostly fight over art movements and the best ways to pursue beauty.
So our assignment for Advanced Character Design was to choose one of four movies: Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Matrix, or Lord of the Rings, and redesign it for a hypothetical remake. Obviously this is really hard, since all these movies are so iconic and I’d super hate to get the job of remaking it for real, because everyone would hate me. Anyway, I chose Lord of the Rings, because of course I did.
From top to bottom we have: Aragorn, Gimli (as a lady-dwarf because I do what I want), Legolas, and Eowyn. I knew I wanted to pull in some nonwestern influences and include more non-white characters in lead roles, but it was still really hard to shake the imagery from the movies, which have a really strong aesthetic and which I’ve seen about a million times. I also wanted Eowyn to contrast more strongly with Arwen (who didn’t actually get drawn), and so I made her a bit stocky with a kind of Brienne-of-Tarth thing in mind.
