It’s funny how the gross fucking adult-horror trope of ‘creepy children’ whose unsettlingness is treated as real wrongness/horror, and not just the small-minded conformity-brainwashing of the people observing their different-ness, always seem to be a code for the same thing as ‘my autistic kid must be a changeling who isn’t Supposed to be like this so I’m justified in being creeped out by and erasing them’
